About Dr. Campbell
Caroline Roberta Campbell, MD, FAAD, CWSP, is a board-certified dermatologist and Certified Wound Specialist Physician with advanced training in medical, procedural, and aesthetic dermatology. She provides comprehensive dermatologic care across all ages, with clinical expertise in cutaneous oncology, wound healing, and the management of complex skin conditions. Her approach is precise, evidence-based, and thoughtfully tailored to each individual.
Dr. Campbell earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, completing an intern year in general surgery before training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. There, she completed her dermatology residency and served as Cosmetic Chief and Wellness Chair. She also completed a fellowship in dermatopharmacology at Mount Sinai, leading and collaborating on clinical trials investigating emerging therapies in dermatology for both children and adults.
She currently serves as a Clinical Instructor at Mount Sinai Hospital, maintaining an active role in academic dermatology through resident education and clinical innovation. Her research has been published in multiple leading peer-reviewed journals and presented at national meetings, including the American Academy of Dermatology. She was recognized as a Rising Derm Star at the Winter Clinical Dermatology Meeting for her contributions to advancing skin cancer detection and has authored multiple textbook chapters within the field.
Dr. Campbell was awarded a national scholarship to complete advanced board certification through the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM). She views healing as a process that restores not only the skin, but also the quality of the human experience. Her clinical philosophy blends medical, surgical, and aesthetic expertise with a holistic approach to skin longevity, health, and balance.
Originally from Georgia, Dr. Campbell brings warmth and disciplined clinical judgment to every patient encounter. After years in New York City, she relocated to Napa Valley, drawn by its balance of natural beauty and thoughtful living. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking in SPF 50+ and UPF clothing, exploring local vineyards, and golden hour walks with her dog.
